I’m back to work this week so my posting took a bit of a back seat but thankfully my cooking did not! This recipe made a great meal to be prepped for days at work. Honey and garlic, what more do you need for a yummy chicken dish?

Next time I make this I plan to add carrots and broccoli but it was delicious with just chicken and rice. The sauce is sweet, sticky and garlicky, topped with some green onion and sesame seeds. This is a quick meal and doesn’t use the oven at all. Steam your rice and pan fry your chicken, whisk all your sauce ingredients together and you are pretty much done!

Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
2 chicken bread, cut up into small pieces
salt, pepper and garlic powder (to season chicken)
1/8 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons green onion, slices
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Honey Garlic Sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup light soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
Instructions:
Sprinkle cit up chicken with salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Place chicken pieces into a plastic bag with 1/8 cup of flour and shake to coat chicken.
Hear olive oil over medium-high heat. Add flour coated chicken to warm pan.
Once chicken is fully cooked add minced garlic, stir and cook until fragrant (about two minutes)
To make honey garlic sauce, combine all ingredients ya in a bowl and whisk until fully combined.
Turn heat down to medium. Add honey garlic sauce, stir and cook for 3 minutes.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed and sliced onions.
Serve with rice. If prepping for meals store rice and chicken together in two servings and place in fridge.

My main goal with going back to work is meal prep! Recipes like this make meal prepping easy and delicious.
Enjoy!
