Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie

This smoothie is packed with nutrients and flavour. Enjoyed in a bowl or a glass!

I started replacing lots of my daily snacks with a smoothie that is going to keep me full and also taste good. This smoothie uses so many nutrient dense foods such as berries, spinach, turmeric and flax seeds. Other ingredients like maca root powder aren’t necessary to add but can help with hormones. The protein powder that I use is a vegan one but you can use any protein you like. I also use coconut milk because I’m trying to eat less dairy but you could definitely use plain yogurt.

Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie


Ingredients:


- 1 cup frozen mixed berries

- 2 tablespoons pea protein powder

- 1 teaspoon ground flax seed

- 1 teaspoon maca root powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

- 1/4 cup coconut milk

- 1/3 cup cold water

- 1/2 cup spinach


Instructions:


1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until nice and smooth, you can add extra water if smoothie is too thick.

2. Pour into a glass and enjoy with a reusable straw or get fancy and make a smoothie bowl with your own favourite toppings like nuts and fresh fruit.



I often drink this after a workout or before I take It with me when I’m on the go.
