First weekend at the cabin is in the books and what better way to start the summer than a new margarita recipe! Strawberry and lemonade pair so well together for summer time, add a little tequila and lime and you have a delicious cocktail for the cabin.

My recipe posting has been a little slow this last week but thankfully I spent the weekend cooking some new recipes to post this week, just in time for summer to finally get rolling!
I am a big fan of margaritas so when I post a new drink recipe it will likely contain tequila, haha.

My family cabin is one of my favourite places to spend time, relaxing and quiet it’s a great place to test out many different cocktail recipes.

Strawberry Lemonade Margaritas
Recipe makes 6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, puréed in blender
- 1 can frozen lemonade
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups tequila, Casa Amigos is the brand I use
- 2/3 cup triple sec
- Juice from 2 limes
- Coarse sea salt to rim glasses
Instructions:
1. In a large blender combine puréed strawberries, lemonade and water. Process until smooth. Add in tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Process until combined.
2. Using a lime wedge moisten the rim of a glass and dip into salt. Fill glass with ice and pour in strawberry lemonade margarita. Add lime slices for decor.
- to make this recipe non alcoholic use 1 can of ginger ale or club soda to replace the tequila and 1/3 cup fresh squeezed orange juice to replace triple sec.

A sweet, tangy and refreshing drink for a hot summer afternoon. This recipe was very popular at the cabin this weekend and I will definitely be making these again.
Enjoy!
